At BURSARS, we take great care to ensure that all stationery, textbooks, and learning materials are prepared according to school-approved requirements. Because our products are customised per school and grade, returns and refunds are managed under specific conditions outlined below.
2. Eligibility for Returns
Returns will only be accepted under the following circumstances:
Incorrect items supplied by BURSARS
Damaged items received at the time of delivery
Incomplete orders (missing items)
All return requests must be submitted within 48 hours of delivery.
3. Non-Returnable Items
The following items are not eligible for return or refund, unless faulty or incorrectly supplied:
Customised or school-specific stationery packs
Opened or used stationery items
Textbooks or books that have been written in, damaged, or unsealed
Electronic learning devices or e-books once activated, downloaded, or accessed
Clearance or promotional items (where applicable)
4. Return Process
To initiate a return:
Contact BURSARS customer support within 48 hours of receiving your order.
Provide your order number, learner details, and a clear description of the issue.
Where required, photographic evidence of damaged or incorrect items may be requested.
Once approved, instructions for return or replacement will be provided.
Unauthorised returns will not be accepted.
5. Return Method
Approved returns may be collected by our courier partners or returned through the school or through our return counter at any of our stores.
Items must be returned in their original condition and packaging, where reasonably possible.
6. Refunds
Refunds will only be issued once the returned items have been inspected and approved.
Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method used at checkout.
Refund processing times may vary depending on the payment provider.
In some cases, replacement or correction may be prioritised over refunds, particularly during the school term.
7. Refund Exclusions
Refunds will not be issued for:
Change of mind
Incorrect orders resulting from parent selection (e.g., wrong school or grade selected)
Delays caused by courier partners or circumstances beyond BURSARS’ control
Orders that have been correctly delivered and confirmed
8. Electronic Devices & Digital Content
Electronic learning devices are covered by manufacturer warranties where applicable.
Digital products, including e-books and downloadable content, are non-refundable once accessed or activated, unless proven defective at delivery.
9. Bulk and School-Based Orders
Bulk and school-delivered orders are prepared in advance and allocated per learner.
Any discrepancies must be reported within 48 hours of delivery confirmation to the school.
Late claims may not be accepted due to allocation and distribution timelines.
10. Consumer Protection Compliance
This policy is aligned with applicable consumer protection laws. Where required by law, statutory rights remain unaffected.
