All 72 pencils in the range are highly pigmented for maximum colour purity. They share the same colour core as Derwent Artists Coloured Pencils, but have a slim, hexagonal barrel that’s easy to grip. The 3.4 mm core sharpens to a fine point, producing a narrow colour strip that’s particularly well suited to detailed illustration work, such as botanical studies, architectural drawing, and graphic design.

Each hexagonal wooden pencil is strikingly finished in matte black with a colour-coded end
